The nickel plated box is lined in purple velvet with "Hoffritz (Logotype) N.Y. M.I. Germany" stamped in the metal under the outer rear hinge.
Outside hinges and snap closure work fine. There is no dent, scratches or wear-down of the plating. This may not have been used much if at all. The shaver comes apart in 4 pieces. The two pieces of the handle fit one inside the other and the two pieces of the top sit over eachother in the case. The same Hoffritz (logotype) N.Y. M.I. Germany is stamped in the bottom of the lower shaver head piece. Very compact and sturdy case.
Well preserved.
The top of the case is in a hammered style and the bottom of the case is ridged possibly doubles for striking matches.
The plating is all intact and the shaver teeth are all there and straight.
