One piece. Was painted at one time but nicely refinished (not by Mike's Antiquary) to a traditional warm oak color. No insert comes with the mantel. 1 1/4 inch beveled mirror that shows nice character flaw. 84" tall 58" wide 13" depth Fifty one inches to the top of the 1st shelf. Customer pickup only.
