Antique Buffalo hide scale/Mancur Scale

All original very nice iron spring "C" balance, also known as a Mancur or buffalo hide scale, 12 1/2" long.
Make by "C.Blasber" stamped on number plate.
A favorite with trappers and anyone else needing a compact scale to weigh heavy loads.

This hand forged iron scale has a crescent or half moon shaped brass dial reads from 0 to 30 Kg., and on the other side from 10 to 180 Kg.

The solid brass dial has a twisted split pointer allowing both sides of the dial to be read.
